India is producing 50000+ pharmacists (B. Pharm graduates) every year with most of them opting for jobs and a few for higher education. Certainly, there are considerable number of colleges that are able to produce such huge a strength but unfortunately all of these are not recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) , which is the statutory body and a national-level council for technical education, under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. It definitely is a huge set back if one comes to know during his graduation that the institute he is studying in is not recognized by AICTE and such a thing could be deterrent to one’s career also as it may render the candidate ineligible for many government jobs and higher education opportunities. Additionally, from GPAT point of view, this is a known fact that GPAT scholarship during M.Pharm. can be availed only if one gets admission to an institute approved by AICTE; It is not available to those who qualify GPAT and takes admission in an institute not recognized by AICTE. So it is very important to know the institutes which are approved by AICTE. Here is a list of those institutes.
