General Conditions:
1.  The posts are required for the purposes as indicated above. However, panel is also being prepared for the posts of MTS for future vacancies under the Tribal Health Care Research Project being implemented in the Tribal areas of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur Districts of Himachal Pradesh where the employees will have to travel and stay there for about 15-20 days during each month to provide health services, conduct survey and prepare progress reports at the Institute. The Institute shall provide transport facility and daily allowance to such staff as per rules.

The engagement will be initially for a period of six months and coterminus with the project which can be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the competent authority. Sound knowledge of mechanisms involved in the metabolic syndrome is essential. The candidate must have good publication in Thomson Reuters impact factor journals.
Desirable: Expertise in handling animals and a knowledge of confocal microscopy. The candidate should possess the ability to lead in a group of several researchers and provide technical and intellectual support to the group.

Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry/Natural Product Chemistry (or) M.Sc. pursuing Ph.D. in the specified subjects having three years research experience with at least three research papers in SCI journals.
Desirable: Candidates with strong background in the specified area of Ph.D. and research experience on animal experimentation/cell culture techniques/ molecular biology tools will be given preference.
Age: Age limit is 32 years on last date prescribed for application submission. It is relaxable for SC/ST/Woman candidates as per Govt. rule.

For all positions, 15%, 7.5% and 27% seats are reserved for SC, ST and OBC (Non Creamy) candidates respectively, subject to availability of such candidates. There shall also be 3% horizontal reservation for physically-handicapped persons (only for locomotor disabilities of lower limbs between 50% to 70% or as per Govt. of India Rules in this regard) subject to availability of such candidates. 2.  Attested copy of the Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/SEBC issued by the competent authority.
3.  Attested copy of the Certificate in case of PH/Ex-Service Man/Sports Man candidates issued by the competent authority.
4.  Attested copy of the latest Nativity/Residential Certificate issued by the competent Authority showing the native District of the candidate.
5.  Three recent passport size photographs duly attested and signed by the applicant on the backside.
6.  One number of self addressed envelop duly stamped with stamps worth Rs.25/- be enclosed with the application form.
